I hope you never lose your sense of wonder Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance... I hope you dance
For me, "Dance", the song made poplar by Lee Ann
Womack, is more than just a popular song. Yes it is a
good song, no, it is a great song... but for me, it is
all in the words. They have had such a profound
impact on my life. The words and lyrics to the song
were written by Mark D. Sanders & Tia Sillers and the
first time I heard the song, I knew it was special.
The words speak volumes. For me, the words are a
philosophy for life.
Livin' might mean takin' chances but they're worth takin'
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance... I hope you dance
Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder
where those years have gone.
I hope you dance... I hope you dance
I hope you dance
Yes, I do hope you dance. After all, who wants to
look back with regrets. You have to seize the
opportunity when it presents itself. So many times,
we worry about the risks, the possibility of failure
if we try something new, something different. We
become complacent, secure, and we fail to act when
action is what is needed. we have to learn to take
chances...and when we get the choice to sit it out or
dance...
We need to get out there and dance, dance, dance.
So that is my wish for all of you...
And when you get the choice
to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance... I hope you dance
